She did it!

After a number of false starts and more than a little bit of frustration, Little Ladybug (child number two!) has finally managed to enter the world of the Knitter!

It hasn't been an easy journey, and I don't know whether the fact that she's left handed had a part to play in that. I'm not, and I just couldn't get my head around left-handed knitting. In the end, I gave up trying to find a left-handed knitter who could help, and we just went for the good ol' right handed way! So she settled comfortably into 'mummy's knitting chair' and we began...

I just love the concentration on her face...

She chose the wool herself... a vivid blue acrylic - but hey - we can work on that...!

...and decided that she was going to make a scarf for 'Pooh Bear' , her lifelong companion.

I love the way that she even manages to knit with him tucked under her arm

It was a proud moment indeed....

  1. I'm left handed, but knit right handed. It was the only way Mum knew how to teach me. Good for your Ladybug - No.1 has learned, but forgets and then has to be taught all over again! x

  2. I'm left handed, I can't knit. Do you think she could teach me? She looks very professional (despite the choice of blue acrylic!)

Can you email me - katyejones at hotmail dot com, about the FQ swap so I can getting matching people up? Thanks.
